FAQ Schema Generator

Add your questions and answers — or extract them from an article you paste — and this tool builds valid FAQPage JSON-LD schema for you. Edit everything, copy the finished code, and paste it into the page those questions actually appear on. Free, no sign-up, and everything runs in your browser.

Tip: in Blogger, open your post in HTML view, copy everything, and paste it here.

0 complete questions — the schema builds itself below as you type.

One honest expectation: this generator produces valid FAQ schema, and valid schema helps search engines and AI tools understand your page. But Google has restricted FAQ rich results since 2023 — they now appear mainly for well-known government and health sites. So add FAQ schema because your page genuinely answers questions, not as a guaranteed rich-snippet trick. Test any page after adding it with Google's Rich Results Test.

How to Use This FAQ Schema Generator

1. Get your questions in. Either paste a finished article above and extract (headings ending in "?" become questions, the text under each becomes its answer), or add questions one by one yourself.

2. Edit like a reader. Trim each answer to the shortest complete reply — one to three sentences is the FAQ sweet spot. The schema must match questions and answers that are visible on the page; never generate schema for FAQs the visitor cannot see.

3. Copy the code. With the script tags included (the default), the output is ready as-is.

4. Paste it into the same page. On Blogger, open that post in HTML view and paste the block at the very end. On other platforms, anywhere in the page's HTML works.

5. Test it. Run the page through Google's Rich Results Test or the Schema Markup Validator to confirm the FAQPage block is detected with no errors.

What Makes FAQ Schema Valid

RuleWhy it matters
Questions end with a question markIt is what makes a heading a question — and it is how this tool's extractor finds them in your article.
Schema matches visible page contentGoogle's guidelines require the marked-up Q&A to be visible to visitors. Hidden-only FAQs are a spam signal, not a trick.
Answers are plain, complete textEach answer should stand alone — a reader (or a search engine) landing on it cold should get the full reply.
One FAQPage block per pageAll questions for a page belong in a single mainEntity list, like the one this tool builds — not scattered blocks.
No promotional content in answersFAQ answers that read like ads violate Google's guidelines. Answer the question; sell elsewhere on the page.

Where This Fits in Your SEO Toolkit

FAQ schema is one of three schema types a Blogger site can add by hand. It pairs naturally with good on-page structure — clear question headings are also what the Google SERP Simulator cannot show you but searchers reward: a search result whose page visibly answers the exact question asked. For checking how your finished page presents itself in results before you publish, the simulator is the companion step; for the keywords those FAQs should target, the Keyword Combiner builds the long-tail list. Frequently Asked Questions

Is this FAQ schema generator free? Is my content private?
Free, no sign-up, no limits — and fully private. Extraction and generation run in your browser; your article text is never uploaded anywhere.

How does the extractor find questions in my article?
It reads the headings in what you paste. Any heading (H2–H6) whose text contains a question mark becomes a question, and the text between that heading and the next heading becomes its answer. In plain text, a line ending in "?" starts a new question the same way. Everything lands in editable boxes, so you can fix wording before generating.

Why is there no "fetch from URL" option?
Because fetching another website from inside a web page requires a third-party proxy service — your URL would pass through someone else's server, and the tool would break whenever that service does. Pasting the content takes ten seconds, always works, and keeps your text on your own device.

Will FAQ schema get my page a rich snippet on Google?
Not guaranteed — since 2023 Google shows FAQ rich results mainly for well-known government and health websites. The schema is still valid, still helps search engines and AI assistants understand your page, and still belongs on a page with genuine FAQs. Just do not add it expecting an automatic rich result.

Can the answers contain links or formatting?
FAQ answers in schema are meant to be plain text. This generator trims what you paste into clean text — if you extracted from HTML, tags are stripped and the words are kept. Put links in the visible page content instead.

How many questions should one page have?
As many as the page genuinely answers — typically three to eight. Twenty thin questions help nobody; five questions your visitors actually ask, answered completely, are worth more.

Where exactly do I paste the code on Blogger?
Open the post (not the theme) in HTML view and paste the whole block, script tags included, at the end of the post. It belongs to that post's FAQs, so it travels with the post — do not put per-post schema into your theme, where it would appear on every page.
