Giveaway Winner Picker — Free Spin Wheel to Pick a Random Winner
Paste the names of your giveaway entries — one per line — and spin the wheel. The winner is chosen with secure random numbers before the wheel even starts turning, every name gets an equal slice and an equal chance, and the wheel lands exactly on the winner. Pick as many winners as you like, one spin at a time, and copy the full winners list when you are done. Everything runs in your browser: your list is never uploaded anywhere.
Add at least 2 names to start spinning.
Winners So Far
No winners yet — your winners will be listed here, in the order they were picked.
How to Pick a Giveaway Winner (Step by Step)
- Collect the entries. Copy the names or usernames of everyone who entered — from your post comments, a form, or a spreadsheet — one name per line.
- Paste the list into the box above. Check the entry count under the box; it should match how many people entered.
- Leave duplicate removal on unless your rules genuinely give extra entries to some people (see the fairness notes below).
- Press SPIN. The wheel turns for a few seconds and lands on the winner. Record your screen while it spins if you plan to post proof.
- Pick more winners if you need them — with winner removal on, each spin removes the winner from the wheel, so nobody can win twice.
- Copy the winners list and announce the winners wherever you ran the giveaway.
How This Wheel Stays Fair
Most spin wheels pick the winner while they spin, which makes the result hard to trust and easy to nudge. This one works the other way round:
- The winner is chosen first. Before the animation starts, the tool draws one entry using
crypto.getRandomValues— the same secure random source your browser uses for encryption — with rejection sampling, so no entry is even slightly favored. - The wheel is just the reveal. The spin is then calculated to land the pointer exactly on the pre-chosen slice. Nothing that happens during the spin can change the result.
- Every slice is the same size. Ten names means ten equal 36° slices and a 1-in-10 chance each. A name can only get better odds by appearing more than once — which is why duplicate removal is on by default.
One honest limit: this tool cannot pull comments from Instagram, YouTube or any other platform by itself — no web page can do that without the account owner logging in through the platform's own system. Export or copy the entrants' names from your post (your platform's comment tools or a comment export service), then paste them here.
Rules for a Giveaway Nobody Can Argue With
- Publish the rules before the draw: who can enter, the deadline, how many winners, and what each winner gets.
- One entry per person, and say so in advance — then keep duplicate removal on.
- Screen-record the spin. A short recording of the list and the wheel landing on the name settles almost every dispute.
- Announce winners publicly where the giveaway ran, and tag or message the winners the same day.
- Set a claim deadline (48–72 hours is common) and say what happens to an unclaimed prize — usually, it goes to the next spin.
What People Pick With This Wheel
- Instagram and Facebook giveaways — paste the commenters' usernames and spin live or on a screen recording.
- YouTube winners — pick a winning commenter from the names under your video.
- Raffles and lucky draws — ticket holders' names in, winners out, with a list you can read aloud.
- Classrooms — pick a student for the next question, task or treat, fairly and in the open.
- Teams and offices — Secret Santa matches, who presents first, who gets the good shift.
- Family decisions — what to watch, where to eat, who chooses the game.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this giveaway winner picker free? Is my list private?
Yes — free, no sign-up, no entry limits beyond the 500-name cap below. Your list never leaves your device: the picking, the wheel and the winners list all run in your browser, and nothing is uploaded or stored.
Is the winner really random?
Yes. The winner is drawn before the wheel spins, using crypto.getRandomValues — the secure random generator built into your browser — with rejection sampling so every entry has exactly the same chance. The wheel animation is calculated afterwards to land on that winner.
Can it pick a winner from my Instagram comments automatically?
No — and be careful with any site that promises this without asking you to log in through Instagram itself. Platforms only share comments with tools the account owner authorizes. Copy or export the commenters' names, paste them here, and spin.
What happens if a name is in the list twice?
With duplicate removal on (the default), the name counts once, however many times it was pasted. Turn it off only when your giveaway rules give some people extra entries on purpose — a doubled name gets two slices and double the chance.
How many names can the wheel hold?
Up to 500 entries. The labels stay readable up to roughly 60 names; beyond that the slices get thin, but the pick stays just as fair — use the winners list, not the wheel labels, to read the result.
Can I pick more than one winner?
Yes. Leave winner removal on and spin again — each winner leaves the wheel, so the same person cannot win twice. Every winner is added to the winners list in order.
How do I prove the draw was fair?
Screen-record the whole thing: show the pasted list and the entry count, then the spin landing on the name. Post the recording with the winner announcement. The winners list can also be copied or downloaded as a text file.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. The wheel, buttons and list are fully responsive, and the spin works the same on touch screens.
